So much has happened in the last year. Last year my brother approached me to co-pilot an idea with him for a blog. He manages all the technical stuff while I furnish the content. Dazzledish.com is all about creating memories with our family by bringing back that old time tradition of gathering around the dinner table.
The kids have grown like weeds in the spring. Mason has successfully mastered all his shapes, alphabet and sounds and can count to 20 without help. We have been a little preoccupied this summer so I hope he has not forgotten too much.
Adelin is blossoming out of the painful twos and threes. Four is such a nice age. But little sweet laid back peaceful Everett has taken her place. We experienced his first fits of the terrible twos this week and the future does not look pretty. Adelin and Everett are my two love bugs. They love to kiss and snuggle. Adelin when in a good mood will tell everyone how much she loves them. Everett likes to kiss books, the TV and all of us including Mason who runs away but still gets a pretty good laugh out of it.
Tonight at the dinner table Adelin commented that today was a really great day. She was invited to her friend Gabby's house for a playdate. There were four little girls three of them dressed in princess costumes and Adelin chasing them with a snake hissing. She has two brothers. What can I say.
Mason played deaf tonight as a ploy to get me to stay and sing to him. He would tell me he did not hear me sing the song and to sing it again. You know I obliged because one day he will not think such games are cute. He will not need goodnight songs and kisses and I fear with him the day will be here sooner than I care to acknowledge.
Everett has decided he is a big boy now. He was very vocal about wanting to sleep in a big boy bed. So for the past week we have been sleep training him to sleep in the big bed.
That brings me to the end of my day. Goodnight and sweet dreams.
